Welcome SEDMHA Players – Discover Nova Scotia Minor Ball Hockey

This weekend, hundreds of young hockey players and families are in Nova Scotia for the Sedma Minor Hockey Tournament, one of the biggest youth hockey events in all of Canada. On behalf of the Nova Scotia Minor Ball Hockey League, we would like to welcome all SEDMHA players and families visiting our province.

If your child loves hockey, ball hockey is the perfect way to keep the game going into the spring and early summer.

The Nova Scotia Minor Ball Hockey League offers fast-paced, fun, and competitive leagues for players ages 5–15. Ball hockey gives kids more puck (ball) touches, more shooting opportunities, and lots of action in a fun and positive environment. Many ice hockey players use ball hockey to sharpen their skills, improve conditioning, and enjoy the game with friends once the winter season ends.

Our Spring 2026 season begins in late April and early May, with leagues operating in Bedford, Sackville, Dartmouth, Halifax, East Hants, and new this year Kentville and Truro. The season includes 11 sessions and over 20 games. We build toward an exciting finish at the Nova Scotia Minor Ball Hockey Provincial Championships, which will take place in Halifax on June 27–28.

Teams from across the province will come together to compete and find out who the best ball hockey players in Nova Scotia really are.

If you’re visiting from SEDMHA and your child loves hockey, this is a great chance to extend the season and try something new. Grab a few buddies, sign up, and get ready for a fast, fun spring of ball hockey.

Spots are limited and divisions fill quickly.

Get your friends together and register today before the league fills.

We look forward to seeing you on the floor this spring.
