Welcome to Digby Minor Ball Hockey - Let's Grow Ball Hockey across Nova Scotia

The Nova Scotia Minor Ball Hockey is thrilled to welcome DIGBY MINOR BALL HOCKEY as our newest League. “After receiving several great calls from Digby Parents urging us to bring the NSMBH to Digby we quickly decided that this was the perfect opportunity to grow Ball Hockey on the Western Shore of Nova Scotia”. comments NSMBHL President Louis Brill. “The welcome has been fantastic, and this includes from Matt Noiles of the Digby Arena who helped us secure a facility in record time”.  We are also welcoming all kids from across Digby County including those from the great community of Clare!” Brill added.

All Games will be at the Digby Arena. We will be playing most games on Saturday afternoon between 12-4 and on a few Tuesday evenings. Age groups are U8, U1, U12 and U15.

“The biggest challenge with getting a league off the ground is the first year. We need a minimum 36 players per age group. This is our biggest challenge, and we need the help of the local community to make this a success. It will take hard work, but a s soon as we see the kids putting down the screens and playing some super fun ball hockey, it will all be worth it!!!” explained Brill.

Registration is open at www.nsmbhl.ca

Become a Ball Hockey Coach!

Like most minor sport, the NSMBHL is supported by parents and siblings who volunteer as either a Head Coach or as an Assistant Coach. Coaching is a wonderful way to spend unforgetable time with your child while helping others enjoy sport. Our league is a great place to start your coaching expereince and we promise you will have a great time! We will provide an online coaching clinic prior to the start of the season and then ongoing support. We ask our Head Coaches to have hockey, sport or teaching expereince. The Assistant Coaching role does not require any expereince. Our goal is to have three coaches per team. This will ensure the team is covered if a coach must miss a session.

Please consider joining us as a Coach!  To do so, you can indicate your interest during your players registration process or by sending us an email at admin@nsmbhl.ca .
