Why referee with NSMBHL?

Who we are looking for?

·         Age 14+ (older teens and young adults)

·         Reliable and on time - every shift, every week

·         Fair, calm, and able to make quick decisions

·         Good hockey knowledge (ball hockey experience is a plus)

·         Comfortable communicating with players and coaches

What NSMBHL provides?

·         Pre-season training session

·         Ongoing mentorship and support throughout the season

·         Clear rules and expectations for game day

·         Payment for games worked

What referees are responsible for?

·         Knowing and applying the rules of play

·         Creating a safe, respectful environment for every player

·         Arriving early, prepared, and ready to work

·         Representing NSMBHL professionally on and off the floor

What you need?

·         Standard referee shirt (or jersey) and a whistle

·         Comfortable athletic footwear suitable for the playing surface

·         A positive attitude and willingness to learn
