Game On! Tournament – FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. The tournament will take place 1-3 July, 2022
  2. All games will take place at Gorsebrook Park located between Robie and Wellington, Saint Mary’s University and the IWK.
  3. Games will be played, rain or shine.
  4. There will be absolutely no refunds unless the tournament is cancelled and cannot be played.
  5. A Team Organizer must register their team on-line. Then each player must complete an on-line roster before playing in the Tournament. This is the responsibility of each player and their team.
  6. Prior to being entered into the GameOn!Halifax, fees must be paid in full. After registering and submitting full payment the Team Organizer will receive a confirmation email stating that your team has been entered into the GameOn!Halifax tournament. If you have not received your confirmation email within 12 hours of completing your registration please contact us quickly and we will ensure all is in order.
  7. Players must play in the appropriate age division. Tournament officials reserve the right to make exceptions if they deem appropriate.
  8. We will play with the Orange Ball.
  9. Players must use a hockey stick that is in good condition. No floor ball sticks are permitted. See the “Equipment” section of the tournament rules.
  10. There are no change rooms or shelter on site.
  11. There is room to set up a tent.
  12. There is no parking directly at the Gorsebrook Park. Parking is available on the surrounding streets. It is limited so be sure to arrive early and be prepared to walk a block or two.
  13. Portable bathrooms will be on site.
  14. Sobeys and Superstore are close by.
  15. Please remind your players to bring plenty of water.
  16. No smoking tobacco or marijuana or drinking alcohol is permitted at Gorsebrook Park for the duration of the Tournament. Please ensure your team respects this rule.
